What are Millie Moon diapers made from?

Here at Millie Moon, protecting your little one is our priority. Crafting a high-quality diaper begins with the materials we select when making our products, and we go to great lengths to ensure our products are gentle on your little one’s skin. Our diapers are predominantly made of: super absorbent material (SAP), elemental chlorine free (ECF) pulp, polypropylene nonwoven fabrics, polyethylene film, together with some fastening and elastic materials. All materials undergo a stringent product safety assessment and are manufactured under strict guidelines.

Our diapers are Dermatologist Certified by world-leading organizations such as Dermatest and Allergy Certified, are free from dioxins, phthalates, and over 100 harmful substances as certified by OEKO-Tex Standard 100.

Question 13

How do I know which size is right for my baby?

Accepted Answer

Babies come in all shapes and sizes… so our diapers do, too! It may take some testing before you find the right size for your little one. Our useful Diaper Calculator helps you find the right diaper size and how many you’ll need for your baby.

Question 14

How can I be sure a Millie Moon diaper fits my little one properly?

Accepted Answer

You may notice our diapers fit slightly different to other leading brands. That’s because we’ve designed Millie Moon diapers to fit your little one snugly, for maximum comfort and to help reduce the likelihood of leaks.

Our waistband should fit higher up on your little one’s back to give a snug fit, and our tabs are designed to fasten closer to the hips than the belly button. Not only does this help minimize leaks, but is especially important for newborns, as it means less pressure on their new little belly button.

Question 15

Are Millie Moon diapers suitable for overnight use?

Accepted Answer

Yes, they are! Our luxury diapers are not only feather soft and lovely to look at; they are also designed to perform.

Our luxury absorbency features include:

A double leak guard and unique deep pocket
Effective 12-hour absorption technology
Snug, extra-high waist
Unique SAP & sustainable wood pulp blend for greater absorbency
Feather-soft, breathable materials to keep your little one dry and comfortable, day and night.

Question 16

How do I know when to change my baby’s diaper?

Accepted Answer

All Millie Moon diapers have a wetness indicator which will turn purple when the diaper is full. If your little one is clothed, you will know the diaper is ready for a change when the core is swollen.

Question 17

Do your diapers have a wetness indicator?

Accepted Answer

They sure do. All Millie Moon diapers have a useful wetness indicator which will turn purple when the diaper is full.

Question 18

Why has my baby’s diaper started to leak?

Accepted Answer

Eek! While our diapers are designed to prevent leaks as much as possible, every baby is different and there are various reasons why leaks might still be happening.

Firstly, it could be a diaper size issue. The weight range specified on each of our packs is a guide only, and quite often moving to the next size up will stop leaks. Other factors that can cause leaks can include the many movements your baby makes every day, the nature of your baby’s bowel and bladder habits and the way in which the diaper is sitting on your little one.

If your little one is a tummy sleeper, this can also be tricky when it comes to issues with leaks. We recommend moving to the next size up whilst sleeping so that the diaper sits higher, or putting the diaper on back to front.

Question 19

What’s the difference between Millie Moon Luxury Diapers and Millie Moon Overnight Diapers?

Accepted Answer

Our Overnight Diapers are specifically designed to keep little ones dry and comfy all night long. They provide over 12 hours of leak protection and can absorb up to 15% more liquid than Millie Moon Luxury Diapers. Our EverDry™ Layer wicks away moisture in seconds so delicate skin stays protected for longer stretches. They’re the perfect choice for nighttime when you need a little extra help.

Question 20

What sizes are Millie Moon Overnight Diapers available in?

Accepted Answer

Our Overnight Diapers are available in sizes 4, 5, and 6. We’ve learned from parents that older babies and toddlers tend to need more protection and absorbency overnight as they start to wet more. We don’t currently have plans to bring out Overnight Diapers in our smaller sizes, however, we always welcome feedback and ideas from our customers about what they’d like to see in the Millie Moon collection.

Question 21

Can I use Millie Moon Overnight Diapers during the day too?

Accepted Answer

Millie Moon Overnight Diapers were designed to be used for overnight, but they can be used during the day if your little one is a heavy wetter or in situations where you might need a longer-lasting diaper. Generally, our Luxury Diapers are perfect for daytime use.

Question 22

Why can’t I find Millie Moon Overnight Diapers in my Target store?

Accepted Answer

Our Overnight Diapers are only available in select Target stores across the country, so we recommend heading to our Store Locator to find the closest store to you that has our products available. We are always available online for nationwide delivery.

Accepted Answer

Some of our Sensitive and Water Wipes at Target are arriving with a different lid and a Millie Moon sticker applied on top, and that’s the only part of the pack that looks different. The wipes, the formula, the cloth and the piece count are all exactly the same.

Our Sensitive Wipes are still made with a 99% natural formula on a 100% plant-based, biodegradable cloth, pH balanced with natural extracts of aloe, avocado and marigold, and clinically proven safe for sensitive skin. Our Water Wipes are still made with 99% pure water.

Question 37

My baby has a rash. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Diaper rash is common. At least half of all babies get one at some point, and it is most often caused by moisture, friction, a change in diet, or a course of antibiotics rather than by any one product.

The first things to try are the same whatever the cause: change diapers as soon as they are wet or soiled, clean gently with water or a fragrance-free and alcohol-free wipe, let the skin air-dry, and apply a thick barrier cream containing zinc oxide or petrolatum at every change.

See your pediatrician or pharmacist if the rash has not improved after two to three days, if there are blisters, pimples, peeling or oozing sores, if your baby has a fever, if the rash is bright red with small red spots spreading beyond it, or if your baby seems to be in pain.

We would also like to hear from you. Contact us with the pack code from the bag and we will come back to you personally. Our full guide to diaper rash covers causes, prevention and what the different types look like.

Question 38

What is your quality check process?

Accepted Answer

We take Quality seriously at every step. Our diapers go through multiple rounds of rigorous testing and inspection throughout the entire production process and every single batch is reviewed and approved before it’s shipped out. Only diapers that meet our high standards make it to your little one.

Question 39

Do the diaper materials change with size?

Accepted Answer

The materials in our diapers are consistent across all sizes. What changes is the amount of each material used, so that every size fits and performs just right for your little one.

While our products are carefully designed for sensitive skin, sometimes individual reactions can occur due to varying skin sensitivities. If your little one is experiencing discomfort, please reach out to us here.
